What does being a spartan mean to you?

was welcomed into the Spartans with open arms. I didn't know anyone in Manchester and it was like coming to a ready made family. And that is what being with the Spartans is like – having a supportive family environment in which you can play good quality rugby and have a ball with the social side.

When did you join?

March 2002

How much experience did you have before joining?

I have played rugby since I was 11 years old so I was quite experienced when I joined the Spartans. Everyone has to start somewhere though.

What tours have you been on?

Bingham Cups – San Francisco / London / New York / Dublin

What has been your best moment since joining the Spartans?

Scoring against the San Francisco Fog at the Bingham Cup in Dublin 2008.

What has been your worst or most embarrassing moment?

My worst moment was getting two serious injuries in two years which kept me away from playing rugby for 2 whole seasons.

What would you say to someone who was thinking of joining

Come and have a go! Whether it be watching, training, playing for the first time or joining as an experienced player, there's something for everyone. Come and join our big, happy family.
