The second Bingham Cup was organised by the Kings Cross Steelers and was held in May 2004 at Esher Rugby Club, south west London. With the explosion of gay rugby throughout the world and increased members in IGRAB, from 8 teams in 2002, 20 teams participated in 2004. Over two days the Manchester Village Spartans made it through the group stages and knocked out the Steelers in the semi-finals. Having improved on their previous Bingham Cup result by making it to the final, the lads were beaten by a strong team from the San Francisco Fog who won the tournament for the second time.
