Mid-week training takes place every Wednesday from 7pm at the Village Spartans home ground in Sale. Please arrive with enough time to get changed and ready for a prompt start on the pitches.

The sessions are aimed at developing the rugby skills of all players and to build their fitness levels so that the whole team improves competitively. You'll find our kind of training sessions to be fun and engaging, and inclusive to all players no matter what level of experience and/or fitness they possess. The Spartans is a unique rugby club which was set up to allow access to rugby for people who might not otherwise play the sport, so please never feel you would not be welcome to come and try.

Wear sports clothing such as shorts & t-shirt or a track-suit. If you don't have any rugby/football boots then don't be put off coming because you are perfectly fine wearing trainers to your first few sessions. We would recommend getting some boots later on if you decided to join!

Training usually lasts around 90 mins, finishing between 8:30pm and 9pm. After training most players stick around for a few drinks and socialise in the clubhouse bar.
